1st Shift Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and preventive maintenance activities. 

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and make necessary repairs. 

  • Collaborate with other personnel to ensure that equipment is maintained to meet operational requirements. 

  • Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant safety regulations and procedures. 

 

Recommended Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance worker, preferably in a mining or heavy industry setting. 

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, as well as relevant safety regulations and procedures. 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools as required by the job. 

  • Good mechanical skills

 

Outline of Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time. 

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. 

  • Good vision and hearing. 

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job. 

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials as required by the job.
